Description and type: From the centre of San Antonio, take the road
which leads to Santa Ines and barely 2 kilometres out take the left-hand
towering and follow the asphalted road which is well marked with signs to
the beach.
Means of transport: By private car or bicycle .
Distance: 19 kilometres from Ibiza, 4 kilometres from San Antonio.
Description: A group of beaches of fine sand alternating with raised
platforms of rocks. Length: 200 metres total for the group
Width: Sandy beaches of 25-30 metres, other very narrow sections of
scarcely 5 metres width.
Composition: Fine natural sand alternates with rocky platforms and
corners.
Sea bottom: Almost entirely sandy, whilst at a certain depth covered
with underwater vegetation. The gradient is very gentle: at 25 metres
out the depth does not exceed 0.5 metres and at 50 metres slightly more
than a metre.
Direction, prevailing winds: A very well-protected area, as it is
located in an enclosed inlet; there are usually light sea breezes.
Panoramic aspects: The whole offers spectacular and enchanting scenery
mainly on account of the beauty and colouration of the water itself.
SUMMARY COMMENT: This cove is ideal for enjoying its scenery and
numerous corners, enabling you to spend a restful day, bathing in
complete safety. There are places to sunbathe, both on the sand and on
the rocks.
Another point of interest to be included is Raco de sa Galera, which is
a little cove of rocks with places of access to the sea.
