Description and type: In the centre of es Cubells there is a side-road
on the left sign posted for the beach. Access is along an asphalted
road, whose final stretch should be negotiated with due care.
Means of transport: By private car or by bicycle, the latter for those
of an active disposition thanks to the steep gradients which must be
tackled. There is a regular bus-service to es Cubells.
Distance: 22 kilometres from Ibiza, 15 kilometres from San Jose
Description: Complex of three beaches or inlets made up of rounded
boulders, separated by breakwaters or rocky outcrops.
Length: approximately 325 metres, total complex Width: 5-10 metres
Composition: Medium-size rounded boulders, alternating with flat areas
and rocky formations.
Sea bottom: Sandy bottom with some rocky areas. The depth in the sandy
zone increases markedly at a short distance out from the shore. The
rocky areas are deeper and of considerable interest for snorkelling.
This activity is recommended only for stronger swimmers
Direction, prevailing winds: Given its southerly orientation. the winds
are always from the sea or transversal.
Panoramic aspects: An enclave surrounded by the spectacular coastal
cliffs of the es Cubells area.
SUMMARY COMMENT: An interesting spot for lovers of excursions or nature
and practised snorkellers and divers. The beach too offers possibilities
for sunbathing in some of its various corners, and enjoying the
restaurant's services at the end of the day.
